Season
This winter (2008) we will
be open on selected days. Mondays. We will be closed EVERY monday. Tuesdays and Wednesdays we will be open when there is decent football on. or Champions league. open every Thursday, Friday Saturday and Sunday.. Durring the week we open at 5pm till late.. Weekends open at 12midday till late.
We will still be showing all the Sports in the week and at the weekend. when champions league is on we show 3 matches at any one time. Dont forget that we also show a game at 4 o`clock. (something that nobody else has around here.) so dont miss out. Also for those that are interested we show the X factor every saturday night live on the big screen..
Being
an internet connected pub,we try to keep up with the latest in technology,
at the same time keeping that Olde traditional British pub feel, with
Olde Worlde charm and decor, with Neil, Kerry and wee Maggie behind the bar and Megan running around and generally causing havoc. This gives our bar the ' Family run and friendly feel
that its well known for.
It's air and smoke conditioned, but also has six overhead fans, one resembling
a jet engine above the entrance door which appears to have come from a
small passenger plane. So when the temperature goes up the fans go on.
Check the wall ornaments -
ancient musical instruments of the sort they used before
'sampling' was
invented, kitchen equipment reminiscent of a torture chamber, sporting
weapons that range from hockey sticks to Irish 'hurling' things, bedpans,
saws, a sledge (as yet untested, as it hasn't snowed here for a while),
unemployed umbrellas, miner's lamps, a selection of cameras which must
pre-date the invention of film !
A range of sticks for fishing, hiking and cutting
grass - but including others whose uses are imaginable, a miniature hot
air ballon and, allegedly? Babe Ruth's baseball mit nailed to one wall.
A selection of pottys indicate the way to the impressively decorated toilet
facilities - totally mad and unjustifiable, just like a British pub.
Also and most importantly,
Unlike the UK we cater for all ages, from very young children to the grandparents
, so 'ALL CHILDREN ARE WELCOME' and catered for both day and night(
as long as they are accompanied by an adult.so when your in Santa Eulalia,
come in and enjoy yourselves
Anyway, please have a wander
around the site, there's a message board where you can find jobs, accommodation,
loads of info about the Island, thers a friends section where you can
meet and greet old or new holiday friends you met while you were here,
photo's of ongoing "events" in the pub and an archive of previous ones...
