Queen Victoria´s Comments:The hotel is open all year and
is at one end of the main street but is still centrally located in the
town and only 1 minute walk from the marina and 3 minutes to the beach.The
hotel has 3 lifts.
11th January
2003. The hotel is getting a refurb.At this time they are working
on the ground reception and restaurant area´s and first floor rooms
so presumably the rest of the hotel will follow.
27th January
2003.The hotel have started work on the 2nd and 3rd floor apartments.Word
in the town is that the hotel will get its official 4 star rating this
season.
2nd April 2003.There is work going on continually but there
is no way this hotel is opening on time ie:1st May.Friends who booked
the "La Cala" for early May with Thompsons have been moved to
the "Tres Torres Hotel" (A better deal for the same money)
21st June 2003 As
suspected the La Cala Hotel didn´t finish the reburbishment by the
end of May so any noisy work had to stop for the summer season,The
hotel will not be opening for any British tourists this year and most
are now being offered the Orchidea (Tres Torres I´m told is full
as far as Thompson´s quota is concerned) Ses Estaques,Ibiza Sol
Elite and the new Tropical Gardens.
3rd October 2003 Work
has continued inside the hotel all summer but we have not been able to
see the results from outside.
Presumably they will continue with their outside (noisy) work at the end
of the summer tourist season (30th Oct) and
will have to make quick progress as we are informed that they have winter
bookings.For sure they will be ready for next summer´s tourist season.It
is said that,"Panorama" as well as"Thompsons"
are taking bookings for 2004.If
someone can confirm this it would be appreciated.

Queen Victoria´s Comments: Centrally located in the town
and 1 minute walk to the marina and 3 minutes to the beach.The hotel has
a fabulous rooftop swimming pool and bar.
Update.March 2003.The Duquesa has opened early this year
(March) and so may have hopefully become an all year round hotel!
Update.October
2003.We hear that the new British tour operator for this hotel
in 2004 is "Unijet" If anyone can confirm please let us know.We
are also told that the hotel will be open 12 months of the year.

My Travel´s (Airtours) Comments: This traditional style
apartment block is an ideal base for independent travellers. The apartments
are situated near a busy road so some traffic noise may be experienced.
POSITION Set in the
heart of cosmopolitan Santa Eulalia with shops, restaurants, cafés
and bars all close by. Just 50 metres to the beach and 20 metres to the
nearest supermarket. ACCOMMODATION Studio apartments (2-3 persons) have

Mar Sol´s comments:Marsol appartments and restaurants are located
in the maritime promenade of Santa Eulalia directly in the sandy and crystal
clear water of Es Pins beach where we can find the mouth of the Santa
Eulalia river. Next to the river, there is a maritime sport center( boats,
aquatic motors,...).
Our appartments and restaurants is only 5 minutes away from the town centre and
10 minutes away from the Nautic Club. All the appartments are facing to the sea
with an unbeatable view. The restaurant has a select and nice menu ideal for
plain cooking after having a bath or a dinner next to the sea. The restaurant
is provided by a big terrace with a nice beach bar where you can enjoy the grand

The Hostal is not be suitable to those with walking difficulties due to its position.The
main road into town is not suitable for walking due to a dangerous bend and traffic,especially
in the dark and a car is recommended (or taxi´s). There is a lovely walk
on uneven ground via dirt paths,down by the river to the beach and the town can
be approached this way.
